Analytical Services for Massachusetts Cannabis Compliance.

The full Massachusetts regulatory panel — profile and contaminants — run in one accredited lab, with validated methods and documented custody on every sample.

Menu of tests

Nine assays. One accredited lab.

Each assay is performed on validated instrumentation by trained analysts. Method abbreviations indicate the primary analytical technique used for quantification or detection.

Inside the methods

What the instruments actually measure.

Each assay has a technique behind it, chosen for the analyte rather than for convenience. Here is what runs, and why.

Cannabinoid Profile — HPLC-UVHPLC-UV

Cannabinoid Profile

Chromatography separates the cannabinoids in a sample; UV absorbance at the detector gives the concentration of each. We report a 16-cannabinoid profile.

Terpene Analysis — GC-MSGC-MS

Terpene Analysis

We identify and quantify 23 terpenes — the aroma compounds behind a cultivar's smell and flavour, and a useful fingerprint for product consistency.

Microbial Screen — PCR and PlatingPCR and Plating

Microbial Screen

LUMINA Testing Laboratories uses a combination of microarray-based molecular techniques and plating to detect and quantify cannabis-borne pathogens.

Mycotoxin Screen — LC-MS/MSLC-MS/MS

Mycotoxin Screen

Aflatoxins and ochratoxin A are toxic metabolites of molds that can grow during cultivation or storage. We screen at regulatory action levels.

Heavy Metal Screen — ICP-MSICP-MS

Heavy Metal Screen

Cannabis is a bio-accumulator, so it holds onto arsenic, cadmium, mercury, and lead. Plasma-source mass spectrometry quantifies each to state limits.

Residual Solvent Analysis — GC-MSGC-MS

Residual Solvent Analysis

Butane, propane, and CO₂ must be purged after extraction. We confirm what remains, and screen vape products for vitamin E acetate.

Matrices

Validated across every presentation.

Every matrix is validated separately, because a gummy, a vape cartridge, and raw flower do not behave the same way in sample prep.

How it works

From sample to certificate of analysis.

STEP 01

Order online

Place your order and build your manifest in the Confident portal. Schedule a pickup or drop samples at the lab.

STEP 02

Receive & log

Samples are logged under documented chain of custody, weighed, and prepared for analysis.

STEP 03

Analyze

Trained analysts run each assay on validated instrumentation with QC controls on every batch — status updates post live.

STEP 04

COA delivered

Your certificate of analysis posts to the portal — download, share, or scan its QR code instantly.
